About me
I’m Ernesto del Canal, a Montreal-based video postproducer with a background in theater, film, and television. My creative journey began on stage, but it was behind the camera — shaping visuals and refining stories — where I found my true calling.
With over a decade of experience in postproduction, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects: from documentaries and short films to educational content, promotional videos, and branded content. My work blends video editing, animation, color grading, and mastering for cinema, broadcast, and online platforms.
Having collaborated across Canada, Latin America, the United States, and Europe, I bring an adaptable and cross-cultural approach to every project. I’ve also been passionate about teaching, sharing my knowledge in postproduction and digital storytelling at institutions in Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and most recently, at Trebas Institute in Montreal.
What drives me is the chance to keep learning, collaborating, and creating. I love working as part of a team, finding creative solutions, and jumping into new challenges with energy and curiosity. Every project is an opportunity to grow and tell stories that matter.
